The requests i have had from RHEV ISV partners so far all were around 
using CIM for /read-only/ discovery of physical and virtual resources. 
One partner for example has a management platform that is structured in 
such a way that the lowest level of management (discovery) is all done 
via CIM, which is heterogeneous. The higher levels are them using the 
native APIs for each of the virtualization systems and therefore are 
bespoke for the virtualization solution that is being integrated with.
