Como falei, cada disco virtual será uma partição LVM. Tem algumas
formas de você fazer isso... desde, por fora do ovirt, conectando
a partir de outro host na mesma LUN, até por dentro do oVirt,
usando o Export Domain para fazer backup ou mesmo escrevendo

Outro detalhe: normalmente se pensa em backup no oVirt salvando o
disco da VM e não dos arquivos dentro do disco. Fazer backup dos
arquivos dentro do disco é função de alguma ferramenta de backup que

Usando NFS, cada disco virtual será um arquivo dentro do
diretório compartilhado. Facilita backup e cópias "por
fora" do oVirt. Usando iSCSI, cada disco virtual será
uma partição LVM criada na LUN. Todas as operações de
storage (create, remove, expand, move, snapshot,... )
são mais rápidas no LVM do que usando discos no NFS.
Além disso, em um teste que fiz em 2010, o iSCSI se
mostrou 17% mais performático em escrita simples que o
NFS. Eu prefiro iSCSI, mas não posso dizer o que é
melhor pra você :)<br>
