other than for registration, if needed/used - only engine --> host for ssh (bootstrap/upgrade) and xmlrpc.<br>
but we are looking to move to AMQP based transport in the future, which will allow events.<br>
not sure on the final topology of the message bug wrt communication channels.<br>
