on my oVirt engine I use the following steps to empty async_tasks:<br>

engine=# select task_id from async_tasks;<br>
task_id<br>

[...should return one or more rows...]<br>

engine=# delete from async_tasks;<br>
<br>
<br>
Please make sure that all tasks completed before removing these rows.<br>
