Nagios can be on a separate node. You just need to make sure the
plugin is able to talk to nagios server via mk_livestatus / ndoutils<div><div class="h5"><br>

We have an integration with Nagios to provide
monitoring for gluster volumes and hosts - see
<a href="http://www.ovirt.org/Features/Nagios_Integration#HOW_TO" target="_blank">http://www.ovirt.org/Features/Nagios_Integration#HOW_TO</a><br>
<br>
There's also a <a href="http://www.ovirt.org/Features/UIPlugins#oVirt_Monitoring_UI_Plugin" target="_blank">http://www.ovirt.org/Features/UIPlugins#oVirt_Monitoring_UI_Plugin</a>
written by René Koch - which provides a
generic integration of oVirt with Nagios -
could be what you're looking for.<br>
