When VMs goes to unknown status, all control options are grayed, and<br>
the only way to fix this is to update the Database manually, it will<br>
be nice to be able to force the engine to poweroff the VM from admin<br>

Sure you will need more components, but we don't want to<br>
duplicate the effort,<br>
implementing ceph support directly in ovirt. Using Cinder we can<br>
reuse the<br>
existing ceph support, and gain also support for other Cinder<br>
drivers for<br>
free.<br>

On the host side, we will have of course ceph specific support,<br>
so you will<br>
be able to create ceph volumes directly, and use vdsm api to<br>
start vms using<br>
these volumes, if you want more "direct" support.<br>

I think this is the general long term approach; integrate<br>
openstack components<br>
instead of re-implementing the wheel.<br>
