<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div>Hello,<br></div>yesterday I installed a 4.0.6 ovirt engine on a CentOS 7.3 server and I was then able to connect.<br></div>Today I try to login, I mispelled some times the password and then I get this in web admin portal<br><br><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">Cannot Login. User Account is Disabled or Locked, Please contact your system administrator.
                        <br><br></span></div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">It gives this method both if I input the correct password or a wrong one...<br></span><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell"><br>I tried this but it seems to change nothing<br><br>[root@ovmgr1 ~]# ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool user password-reset admin --password-valid-to=&#39;2018-12-31 23:59:59Z&#39;<br>Password:<br>Reenter password:<br>updating user admin...<br>user updated successfully<br><br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">Watching egine.log I see that I used a wrong password because:<br><br>2017-01-21 18:59:43,792 ERROR [org.ovirt.engine.core.sso.servlets.InteractiveAuthServlet] (default task-6) [] Cannot authenticate user &#39;admin@internal&#39;: The user name or password is incorrect.<br>2017-01-21 19:00:18,258 INFO  [org.ovirt.engine.extension.aaa.jdbc.core.Authentication] (default task-13) [] locking user: admin due to consecutive failures<br><br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">what can I do to reset and set a new password in case?<br><br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">BTW: does this mean that an attacker knowing the ip could simply stop admin from working using some times a casual password in general?<br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">I know that admin is te default one, and should not be used probably in production... but anyway...<br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell"><br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">Thanks,<br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell">Gianluca<br></span></div><div><span style="vertical-align:top;display:table-cell"><br></span></div></div>
