An entry every few seconds even with no VMs setup and just the hosted engine running.  I know it is listed as a bug on redhat bugzilla page, but is this going to be normal until version 4.2 comes out?

No, it's not normal. Can you provide all the information so we can understand the root cause? Do you have a specific bugzilla you refer to?
