Most of the suites currently use el7. Once we migrate to el8 we can convert the openshift nodes bare metals to centos8 and run everything there.
So yeah, when most suites will run on el8, we definitely need to convert all the servers to centos8.

The problem is that we do not have enough infrastructure to have double capacity on centos7 and centos8, so we will have to aggressively merge all centos8 stuff. I assume most of the load will be on it since 4.4 uses it.
