Hey Somansh,

Did you give some thoughts on what would you like to do in the infra team?
If you want we can talk offline, via irc or email and investigate some of the options you can contribute to the team.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Eyal.

Thanks All, For you responses.

I would love to be in Admin team, as this is the work i have been doing from quite some time.

After understanding more about here in Ovirt, i may expand my service towards other verticals.

@Barak, I subscribed to the infra mainling list. Let me know what else need to be done to join the team.

Since our infrastructure is quite automated, you will not need more then the basic ability to submit patches to the Gerrit repositories used by our team. Go ahead and register to the oVirt Gerrit (All you need to to is loging with an openid account and submit your public SSH key).

Also please let me know what work i need to do and who should i contact for all the basic things to start with you.

We have a couple of ongoing efforts you can try and contribute to:

1. Linode migration - We are migrating resources and services away from the 'linode01.ovirt.org' host to the Phoenix data centre. To do that we need to write Puppet classes to manage those services so we can just apply those classes to servers in Phoenix to make then run the needed services.
2. YAMLizing jobs - while many of the CI jobs running in Jenkins were created using Jenkins Job Builder (JJB) YAML, we still have some older jobs that were created by hand and need to be converted to YAML to allow for easier maintenance.

Where would you like to try and contribute?

Regards
Somansh Arora
