Aline,
Ok, I think a configurable time-out would be a welcome enhancement; and I think it's fine that complete disabling remain unsupported.

Thanks

Hi Martin,

By default, Kimchi timeout the user session after 10 minutes of inactivity.
It does that for security reasons - to do not leave a session alive for much time without user interactions (maybe the user forgets to logout)

Unfortunately, it is not configurable yet.
I think we can add an option to user inputs the timeout value that better fits his/her needs.
But allow user disables it would not be an option.

What do you think?

I find myself being auto-logged out of Kimchi often, and after seemingly short periods of inactivity. Also, it seems to depend on the Kimchi page or dialog I'm on, although I may just be imagining this.

Can someone explain the Kimchi timeout policy, why it exists, and whether there's a way to change it or shut it off entirely? (And if not now, or yet, is there an outstanding request to allow the timeout policy to be configurable? Or is there some inherent reason it is what it is and will never be changed?)

Thanks
