I somehow lost this thread and saw it only now searching for something completely unrelated. Anyway, if you are still interested the way to increase the timeout is described here https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1193083#c54. I think it should be fine to increase it, but I have no proof (test) for that.
