You can attach VMs to a host network on layer 2 by attaching the vNIC to the vNIC profile of the host network,

e.g. ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt. oVirt provides only very little help in IP configuration of the VMs,

the VM can use the DHCP server of the host network or static IPs.
