Hi,

I am planning an ovirt hosted-engine installation with two nodes and an iSCSI SAN for the engine and VMs and NFS for ISO and Export domains, on another NAS.

The iSCSI SAN have two controllers, each one have two NICs at 1Gb/s, and I was planning to use a bond manually configured (two NICs) on hypervisors/nodes, so I'll end up with 4 paths.

- Creating a bond is it a good idea? or do I have to use the node NICs separately as in the link mentioned earlier?

- If I'll use a bond, will it survive the engine's installation?

- After the engine's installation, the link(s)/path(s) used to connect to the SAN storage will also be used to connect to the NAS, this will constitute a storage network, this network will be mandatory so I can't create an iSCSI bond on top of it. Will the multipath be configured automatically by the engine's installation on all hypervisors/nodes?

thanks in advance.

In 3.5 is not directly supported from assisted setup.
Basically you have to manually pre-connect the storage on each involved host and manually persist that configuration.

You can find some hint there:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1193961#c2

Adding Nir to double check it.
