Hi,

You can change the storage connection details (IP address, path/LUN, port, etc.) without removing the storage domain.
IIRC, the domain has to be in maintenance for that.
For file based storage, you can do it via the Webadmin and for block based storage, via REST API.

See https://ovirt.org/develop/release-management/features/storage/manage-storage-connections/

Dear All,

I have to change an IP address of one of my storage domains.
How is safe that? There are a lot of disk what running from what and parts of some running VMs.

I thought the whole procedure like this:

- stop vms
- remove storage domain from inventory
- delete storage domain from inventory (is it needed?)
- change IP
- re-add storage domain as new to inventory
- import disks from storage domain

Need to re-add disks to VMs as new after the import? Or it will automatically?
Is it will a new storage domain in the engine or will same as?

- start vms

Please check my todo list, where I'm was wrong.
Thanks in advance,

Regards,
Tibor
