Any intensive workload, CPU and memory bound especially, would benefit from the configuration.
In memory DBs (SAP Hana, Redis and friends) for example, MapReduce (Hadoop), etc. 

For some workloads, low latency networking is also important (especially for nodes inter-communication) and we are looking at DPDK for it. See[1].
