Following up on this.
The oVirt 4.4.5 release candidate that will be released this week will be based on Gluster 8, so help verifying upgrade from oVirt 4.4.4 / Gluster 7 to this RC will be helpful. 
Raising it early so if you have a test environment you can start preparing it :-)
