Any particular reason to do this instead of upgrade via engine backup/restore?
Each has its own Pros and Cons, of course.

I had to pass from 4.3 to 4.4 and from NFS based storage to Gluster based storage and furthermore the number of VMs was limited, so it seemed the safest way to export the needed VMs and then re-import them into the new environment.
Also, the previous environment probably was born in 3.6 and step by step updated to 4.3 so I thought about doing a new install now...
