Could you create a VM and try to run it on that host (at the Host tab in the VM dialog select this host) and see if it get stuck in WaitForLaunch state?

There was some connectivity problem with the host that prevented you from shutting down this VM.
What is the status of the host 80bb6fbe-6479-4642-835d-83f729e97fbb now (in the webadmin it is shown as the host that the VM runs on)?
