BTW, we had discussed this earlier.
1) set list so that you don't get the "you've been moderated email"
We discussed that in today's meeting and set that as the new standard. (I've updated the mailing list configuration guidelines to match.) http://ovirt.org/wiki/Creating_and_configuring_mailing_lists
2) always add person's address to whitelist when accepting their moderated posts
I think people are doing this, too, but let's just capture the practices for oVirt mail admins here: http://ovirt.org/wiki/Running_and_moderating_a_mailing_list
This works well (when the mailman list owner is relatively responsive and proper spam filtering isn't working well-enough).
We have more moderators now, with the above settings too, so have all agreed to give it a few weeks and see how well this works. As you said, as long as moderators are responsive, it works. We can take up the discussion of running our own Mailman+spam filtering solution on infra@ovirt.org. - - Karsten - -- name: Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Community Architect team: Red Hat Community Architecture & Leadership uri: http://communityleadershipteam.org http://TheOpenSourceWay.org gpg: AD0E0C41 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFO1tvK2ZIOBq0ODEERAgHwAKCXXeZUy0mNPixpWauntHnlB/SUswCgwzSG uj0OE3gjzCBqTeKN7sKMceE= =Oiga -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
