Carl and I just discussed this and agreed that a bit of surgery on the archives should do the trick. Then we don't have to spin up a new list, etc. I'll work to make this happen ASAP. - Karsten On Fri, Sep 23, 2011 at 08:28:07AM -0700, Karsten Wade wrote:

new list and wiping the archives amounts to the same thing.
Without some record of past decisions and how/why we got here, we are subject to the memories of people who may not always be around.
I would wipe it. let's confirm on the call tomorrow.
I recommend we leave it as-is and start a new mailing list.
We're already doing planning that we could be doing in the open. The more of our cards we share, the more of our work we share.

So we can't really just open the archives to this mailing list. We have notes from out meetings in there that shouldn't be shared publicly.
At the same time, we now need a list for doing planning of project stuff in the open. For example, the workshop. Topics not really suitable for board@.
Do we make a new list?
Or do we wipe the archives of this list and start from fresh?
I would be loathe to completely clean the archives to zero, but it could be a pain to surgically remove content.
Thoughts?
