Hi all, I work in a secure environment with no external internet access and local mirrors provide a local oVirt repo. The person that set these up has since left with no documentation available. Updating our oVirt environments fails as 'no updates available' is the response. I recall a thread that stated something had broken when eol was announced in December but can't find that thread anymore. I would like to build a clean local ovirt and ovirt dependencies repos - is there any documentation for this. Kind Regards Simon...

Did you consider using https://theforeman.org/ ?

Hi Sandro, Apologies I meant "I would like to build a clean internal mirror for ovirt and ovirt dependencies repos - is there any documentation for this." We currently build our oVirt environments using Foreman and Ansible. The yum repo files on the Nodes and Engine point to our internal mirror, but it's this internal mirror that needs to be rebuilt as it's not getting any updates. Rebuilding will also clean up a server that's been running for at least 10 years in a soon to be retired environment. Regards Simon...

There's no oVirt specific documentation for making a local mirror of oVirt yum repositories and all the repositories providing needed dependencies. I would suggest to google "mirroring yum repositories" for getting general docs about the process. Needed repos are depends on which version of oVirt you are going to use. For the upcoming 4.5 release here's a list of repos we are using on centos stream 8: https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-release/blob/master/ovirt-el8-stream-x86_64-d... and you'll have to add CentOS Stream 8 BaseOS, AppStream and PowerTools from http://mirror.centos.org/centos/8-stream/ which are already in a standard CentOS Stream installation.
