Hi all,
A couple of conferences which are relevant to oVirt - it would be great
to see some presentation proposals from the project - especially for
HostingCon, whose CfP closes on Friday.
Contact myself or Brian Proffitt if you are interested just to let us know.
Cheers,
Dave.

Subject: [OpenStack Marketing] Additional 2014 Industry Events' Call
For Papers open

Call for Papers/presentations deadlines are coming up, in addition to
the 3 sent in December (below). Please note the HostingCon deadline of
this Friday, January 10. The hosting industry is an important audience
for OpenStack; we appreciate your support for this event.
* HostingCon <http://www.hostingcon.com/>, event date June 16-18 in
Miami Beach, FL. Please submit talks at
http://www.hostingcon.com/speakers/speaking-proposal-guidelines/, by
*January 10.*
* USENIX LISA <https://www.usenix.org/conference/lisa14>, event date
November 9-14 in Seattle, WA. CFP submissions due *April 14* at
https://www.usenix.org/sites/default/files/lisa14cfp_102813.pdf
Note: LISA was a great event for OpenStack in 2013, with over 1000 Large
Installation System Admins participating. We'd like to propose a half
day hands-on tutorial this year. It's the week after the Paris Summit.
If you are interested in presenting the tutorial, please contact me
(Kathy).
Thank you.

OpenStack's 2013 industry event experience indicates speaking sessions
can be the best way to reach the most receptive audiences. Speaking at
industry events is a great way to educate OpenStack users and potential
users while indirectly promoting your company's expertise.
Your innovative presentations are requested for these upcoming events.
The CFP hotlinks will direct you to details on the recommended topics
and the submission forms. Learn more about the events and attendees by
clicking on the event hotlinks.
As always, please feel free to contact me with questions -

1. OSCON 2014 <http://www.oscon.com/oscon2014>, event date July 20-24
in Portland, OR. CFP <http://www.oscon.com/oscon2014/public/cfp/308>
due by *January 30*. Audience is primarily very technical, leading
edge developers, sys admins and open source enthusiasts who are most
likely familiar and/or working with OpenStack software. They will
appreciate in-depth topics. OSCON 2014 coincides with the the
software's 4th birthday.
2. Cloud Expo East <http://www.cloudcomputingexpo.com/>, event date
June 10-12 in New York City. CFP
<http://www.cloudcomputingexpo.com/general/papers2014east.htm>due by
*March 1*. Audience is primarily IT managers and staff. At the 2013
event, we experienced most of this audience was looking for benefits
of cloud computing, how cloud is differentiated from virtualization,
and had heard of OpenStack but did not yet have specific knowledge
of the software. On the other hand, there were a few very technical
conversations. NYC-based user stories and business cases welcome.
3. Cloud World Forum Europe
<http://cloudwf.com/interested-in-speaking/>, event date June 17-18
in London. CFP <http://cloudwf.com/interested-in-speaking/>*deadline
to come*; not yet listed. Audience is a mix of IT decision makers
and management, and evenly split between multinational enterprises
and SMB. European case studies would be ideal.
