Hi,
back in January 2015[1] we started looking into packaging ovirt-engine
following Fedora packaging guidelines[2].
We pushed several patches still in draft / wip [3][4][5] and opened a
tracker bug [6].
We also started packaging missing dependencies in Fedora [7][8][9] and for
CentOS Virt SIG[10]

Please ensure that any new dependency added in pom files at build / test /
runtime is available in Fedora / EPEL / oVirt / CentOS Virt SIG repo ( I
can build for CentOS Virt SIG if a package is missing, just provide the
src.rpm from Fedora / EPEL).
Please help adding correct dependencies in the spec file for maven
dependencies.

This is a best effort feature we're trying to do at integration level for
4.0, not yet targeted to it, but will help if we start working together
avoiding to add new un-packaged dependencies.
