core: SyntaxCheckerFacotry MockConfigRule usage

Use MockConfigRule to clean up the test and make it easier to read. As
an added bonus, the MockConfigRule takes care of cleaning up the mocked
configuration once the test is over, a cleanup missing from the original
test.
