Line 85:     RELEASE := $(shell rpm -q --qf "%{RELEASE}\n" --specfile ../ovirt-node.spec | head -n1)
Actually, missing TAB makes it work :)
automake migrates this line in the output Makefile to start at the first colum and outside of make target, as it should be. So just move it line up, before version.ks: line
