Patch Set 1: I would prefer that you didn't submit this

If I set the password, then apply. Once it comes back to the cim page and try setting the password again, it will fail to try setting it.

There's logic around the status of the enable/disable to see its starting state and current state, need to break it out of there to set the password regardless of the enable/disable being toggled.
