Yes, it is verified and works for us.

We are using the downstream RHEV in our environment and we want to perform activation key based registrations against our Katello 2.2 instance.
We tested it by installing the downstream rhev-hypervisor7-7.1-20150603.0.iso on a machine and manually uploading the updated rhn_page.py (from the ovirt-3.5 branch and including this change) to 
/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/ovirt/node/setup/rhn/

This allowed us to perform a succesful activation key based registration to our Katello environment using the ovirt-node TUI.
