Recommended way is to select 'Both' for 'ApplicationMode' during 
engine-setup.

But if you want to do this after engine-setup, you need to tweak a 
database entry. You could find an option_name called 'ApplicationMode' 
in the vdc_options table, change the value of the field to 255, then 
restart ovirt-engine service. Now you should able to manage both virt 
and gluster in oVirt.

This is possible only if oVirt is installed in 'Both' (Virt+Gluster) mode.
