Hi,
just wrote http://www.ovirt.org/OVirt_Hosted_Engine_Backup_and_Restore and currently testing this.

Xie Chao, Groten Ryan: since you already explored this kind of procedure can you help commenting and / or sharing your experience here?

Adding infra, since we have Hosted Engine running in oVirt production and they may be interested too.
