A perfect use for this list! Currently, one has to be in the Bureaucrat group to approve requests. If you are interested in helping with the account request queue, let me know and we can add you to the Bureaucrat group. - Karsten -- Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Analyst - Community Growth http://TheOpenSourceWay.org .^\ http://community.redhat.com @quaid (identi.ca/twitter/IRC) \v' gpg: AD0E0C41 -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... I wanted the email to be sent to all bureaucrats rather than a configurable email address. It's still awaiting acceptance, but this is a happy compromise. The issue was (if this is a public list) that email addresses of wiki users could get sent here. Cheers, Dave. Ah, ok, I was wondering what the difference was. > It's still awaiting acceptance, but this is a happy compromise. The > issue was (if this is a public list) that email addresses of wiki users > could get sent here. Good point. I suppose we could use a private bureaucrat email list or alias, but I agree with your concept - there is already a group tracked internal to MediaWiki for this, why not just use those group details? Let's use this for the moment since we don't have the site notification (which was maybe removed?!?). When we moved to OpenShift, we can either patch our version and carry the patch until upstream has it, or wait with this compromise until upstream has the patch. Looking at the message, it doesn't seem to include anything private, so we're OK for now: http://lists.ovirt.org/pipermail/wiki/2012-October/000000.html cheers - Karsten > Cheers, > Dave. > > On 10/31/2012 04:09 PM, Karsten 'quaid' Wade wrote: >> Hi: >> >> I was working on configuring ConfirmAccount for the new 1.19 install and >> discovered there is a feature included that sends email to an address >> when a new requesting user has confirmed their email address.
