I have created the following page to start coordination around. http://ovirt.org/wiki/Outreach If you add to the table or just mail the list with any event that you believe we should be present at. I'll build a master table and then we can work out the locations and venues to have the workshops, and setup a system to promote the meetups etc. Carl.

I notice linux.conf.au is on the list - is someone lined up to present? The CFP is long closed. You can probably still squeeze a talk into one of the miniconf tracks. I know several of the miniconf organisers, so let me know if this is something we want to pursue. I'd be able to get to it... just need to overcome my irrational fear of public speaking. :) (really) Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift -- Aeolus Community Manager http://www.aeolusproject.org

I'm going to add a column to the table so we can record who is attending what. Carl.

Hmmm, sounds like we need standardised presentation materials, so people don't have to recreate them every time. Do you reckon any of the workshop stuff would be a good base? I haven't looked through them yet. :/ Regards and best wishes, Justin Clift -- Aeolus Community Manager http://www.aeolusproject.org

Regards and best wishes,
yes, I think we can create a basic pool of resources people can use. It is also however good that people speak about any random part of oVirt they want to focus on, that said having the key 'what is oVirt' deck would be good. We could mabe take the deck I used in teh opening session, and add in some meet from the later presso for a basic deck. Carl.

I added this one to the list, I won't be attending this year but I thought we might look for a lucky volunteer ;). -Steve

I'll be attending FUDcon Blacksburg along with Russell Bryant from the Matahari project. I'd be happy to present on oVirt in this forum if folks would like. Cheers, Perry

yes, that would be great. The idea is to get everyone to present it at every available opportunity, as we need to get the word out about the project. Carl.

Since my background is pretty much all 'Node' focused, is there a standard slide deck that I should present? Otherwise, coming up with an oVirt Engine slide deck might be a bit of a challenge for me :) Perry

Perry, Take a look at the one I opened the oVirt workshop with. If you like it we can steal some pics etc from Itamar's add interest. Carl.
