smtp server for ovirt.org
Do we have an SMTP server configured for oVirt? I'm starting to configure the Jenkins CI server and it requires an SMTP server for sending alerts via email. Eyal.

Well, lists.ovirt.org is running SMTP (postfix) for Mailman. I hadn't thought of that as being a central SMTP for the project, but I guess it makes sense to do that instead of maintaining N configurations. So I reckon you can use lists.ovirt.org, and let us know the hostname and/or IP address so we can turn on acceptance.

It was created via Open Shift. 1. register to openshift express (openshift.redhat.com) 2. vi /etc/yum.repos.d/openshift.repo [1] 3. yum install rhc 4. rhc-create-domain -n domain_name -l user_name 5. rhc-create-app -a jenkins -t jenkins-1.4 -l user_name I'm still working with the open shift folks to let me create this with the ovirt domain name. so current jenkins is just a test run on a temp name. After itamar installed an initial jenkins LTS version, i'm working on installing basic plugins that will help us with management and auditing the server. 1. Audit Trail -> logs all actions done on the server (and by whom) 2. set matrix security -> right now 'anonymous' access is allowed only to view the jobs and status. every new user can be set to misc security settings as needed (such as running jobs/configuring/etc... ) we can discuss who's allowed to do what once all jobs are set up and running. 3. TODO: upgrade the to the latest LTS version (1.424.1) (need root access to the server) 4. add more jenkins nodes (slaves) from openshift/ec2 -> run all jobs on them only and not on the master node. once it's all setup, i'll start creating basic jobs for ovirt-engine (mvn install, unit test, gwt..etc..)
