OK, I like this now, it's maybe a bit long? but has all the elements.
I do see the final clauses get confusing so that it can be read
"following accepted professional standards of the open source way."
Perhaps:
"The oVirt Infra Team is a volunteer effort to provide community
infrastructure services by following the open source way and accepted
professional standards of system administrators."
What about:
The oVirt Infra Team is a volunteer effort to provide community
infrastructure services by following "The Open Source Way" and accepted
professional standards of system administrators.
That works for me.
