I do believe that the Strapping skin can benefit from a development approach that takes into account mediawiki's editing tools and interface elements (so that both open and restricted wikis can benefit from the skin without any shortcomings that may advent from details that are overlooked by the skin's developers). This is my main motivation to push this change forward.
