It seems the current storage configuration for the mirrors server (xfs on LVM thinpool on virtio device) is causing issues - And the device seems now to be corrupted and blocking writes. We should move to a simpler configuration -> plain XFS on the virio device. That should reduce the amount of things that can cause issues.
