Missing login oprion in wiki pages

Hi Guys, Is there a way to add an option to login when looking at some wiki page? This is something we used to have, and now I find it very frustrating to start looking for a login screen whenever I spot a spelling mistake (or worse) in a page I'm reading. Thanks for the effort! Doron

On the bottom right is a login link. I agree this might not be optimal placement because we should encourage people to log in and fix stuff.

Ewoud, can you see your link in this page: http://www.ovirt.org/Features/Design/cpu-pinning I'm unable to see it there, as well in most other pages.

Hi Doron, Indeed, this looks like a bug in the theme. Garrett, the theme author and designer, is on vacation now, and will not be around for a few weeks. I can have a look at cobbling something together to address this short term, but I imagine that he will want to handle it 'properly' in the theme on his return. Thanks for the report! Dave. Hi, I just committed a fix for this, the login link should appear in the footer now for all non-logged-in visitors. Let me know if there are still issues. Thanks, Dave. On 12/13/2012 07:06 PM, Dave Neary wrote:

At the bottom of the page, in the footer? It may not be the most prominent place for it, but it should be there. Cheers, Dave. -- Dave Neary - Community Action and Impact Open Source and Standards, Red Hat - http://community.redhat.com Ph: +33 9 50 71 55 62 / Cell: +33 6 77 01 92 13

Then you should be logged in. Do you have a user bar at the top? If you don't, can you check that you're on www.ovirt.org and not wiki.ovirt.org, please? We have a separate issue there. Finally, it would be really helpful to see some of the page source - specifically the bits between the HTML comments that look like this: <pre>Array ( [whatlinkshere] => Array ( [href] => /Special:WhatLinksHere/Documentation [id] => t-whatlinkshere ) [recentchangeslinked] => Array ( [href] => /Special:RecentChangesLinked/Documentation [msg] => recentchangeslinked-toolbox [id] => t-recentchangeslinked ) ... The bits which are interesting are if you have a userpage link, or an anonlogin link in this section. Thanks! It seems that all we're missing is adding to the page footer something in the spirit of: [[Special:UserLogin|Login and contribute]] ----- Original Message -----

As far as im aware hits supposed to be there in the bottom all the time. However its a bug in the current design that makes it hide. There is a workaround to make it appear again, clear your cookies and reload the page without cache and it should appear again. On Dec 13, 2012 12:39 PM, "Doron Fediuck" <dfediuck@redhat.com> wrote:

I tried it with a different browser, and saw it (for the first time!). Still after logging out, the link remains hidden. Is it possible to have it always visible somewhere in the upper left or right corner? As long as there's a bug, we should have it visible. ----- Original Message -----

So it wasn't just me. Maybe this is some interaction with the browser. I've seen it with firefox, haven't tried others. On Thu, Dec 13, 2012 at 06:52:45AM -0500, Doron Fediuck wrote:
