[RFC] Telling the world: What about planet.ovirt.org?

--=-uKPwA1a0aSvYFRcP03i9 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Good day, planets [1] are nice way to aggregate blog posts - and to give the user or interested human out there a way to get some insight into the development and usage of oVirt. So, what do you thinkg about offering our own planet.ovirt.org? Besides some infrastructure this needs some people to write about what they are doing. If we were just aggregating existing blogs this might not be to much work to get a planet up and running. There are a couple of things to consider: - Who could contribute to this planet? - Very oVirt centric? So, just aggregating posts that are tagged with =20 contain a specific keyword, or even moderated? I still have a todo point on my list to set up a separate VM to host this. I'm running my own[1] for a while now and got some experience with it. The config is still visible[2], but the theme is the default one. If only there were more hours in a day... [1] http://planet-ovirt.ekohl.nl/ [2] http://planet-ovirt.ekohl.nl/planet.conf

Ewould, one hosting option we've discussed is openshift. I put together a quickstart for getting it going: https://github.com/jasonbrooks/venus-openshift-quickstart. I could get an instance going using the config you've posted.
