Should we kill the project-planning mailing list?

There hasn't been a post in that list since Nov 2011. It seems to overlap the infra / arch groups and would be a good candate for clean up. -- Thanks Robert Middleswarth @rmiddle (twitter/Freenode IRC) @RobertM (OFTC IRC)

+1. We should consolidate lists as much as possible to reduce duplications / noise.

My personal suggestion: Disable subscriptions, update the list description to indicate that the list is obsolete and inactive, do not advertise the list in the Mailman page. Archives can & should remain online, but we can hide all mention of the list in Mailman & the website. That might be over-kill. :) I think we should do all that except the hiding via Mailman. This list was used privately before the open sourcing to plan the open sourcing of oVirt. It contains interesting and useful historical information. - Karsten --=20 Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Analyst - Community Growth http://TheOpenSourceWay.org .^\ http://community.redhat.com @quaid (identi.ca/twitter/IRC) \v' gpg: AD0E0C41 --------------enigF6BE8157EC71DF33D36148B7 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: OpenPGP digital signature Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://www.enigmail.net/ iD8DBQFQWxYR2ZIOBq0ODEERAhFdAJ0ZslCir/9RcA0wA9kRxhBQ38wP6QCgpCSz p08BqIDWf5VOremdDtnMoPA= =9kjk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --------------enigF6BE8157EC71DF33D36148B7--

I have no strong opinions one way or the other - but I imagine that part of the reason for the suggestion is that inactive lists clutter up the mailman page, and make it harder for newcomers to know easily which lists they should sign up for - thus the suggestion to set the list to not advertise itself on the mailman list.
