The server reboot was successful. In addition, I updated some
WordPress plugins.
My only concern with this outage was in planning. Because updating
WordPress and other server packages includes moving from versions with
potential security exploits, I wanted to take the cautious route of
not announcing the details of the update before doing it. I did
discuss things overall with Jason Brooks in private IRC, but we are
lacking in any way for me to easily discuss with the rest of the
Infrastructure team.
So, suggestions for improving that part of this process are most welcome.

I was unable to make this window, so I am cancelling this outage. I
am rescheduling this for 2012-05-25 00:00 UTC, which is a better
time for me.
To convert UTC to your local time, run: date -d '2012-05-25 00:00
UTC'
If you have any problems with this time, email me back.
Thanks - Karsten
