I would like to open a discussion on slaves allocation in jenkins. We currently have: CentOS 6: 5 slaves CentOS 7: 3 slaves Fedora 19: 2 slaves Fedora 20: 9 slaves Fedora 21: 7 slaves Total: 26 slaves For 3.5 we need: Fedora 20, CentOS 6, CentOS 7 + Fedora 21 for VDSM only For 3.6 we need: CentOS 6, CentOS 7, Fedora 22 + Fedora 21 for VDSM only I suggest to re-provision the 26 slaves as follow: CentOS 6: 7 slaves CentOS 7: 7 slaves Fedora 20: 3 slaves Fedora 21: 3 slaves Fedora 22: 6 slaves I didn't add the debian 7 slave in the count above, please reprovision it with Jessie next week (GA will be April 25) -- Sandro Bonazzola Better technology. Ok for me, now we have duplicated the ram of the servers we should be able to create more slaves if needed too.

We currently have: CentOS 6: 5 slaves CentOS 7: 3 slaves Fedora 19: 2 slaves Fedora 20: 9 slaves Fedora 21: 7 slaves
Total: 26 slaves
For 3.5 we need: Fedora 20, CentOS 6, CentOS 7 + Fedora 21 for VDSM only
For 3.6 we need: CentOS 6, CentOS 7, Fedora 22 + Fedora 21 for VDSM only
I suggest to re-provision the 26 slaves as follow:
CentOS 6: 7 slaves CentOS 7: 7 slaves Fedora 20: 3 slaves Fedora 21: 3 slaves Fedora 22: 6 slaves
can you specify the need per OS? are you seeing specific load on certain jobs that are lacking specific OS? if we're using mock for building packages, i guess the OS is less relevant right? I'm asking, since this is currently a manual process which will require a few days of work for 1-2 engineers, and i wonder if it's critical or can wait till we have something automatic for it. and since this requirement is dynamic and will change in time as the version progress, it's something we'll need to do on a regular basis, so its best for us to automate the process asap. we're already working on an automated solution for it, hopefully won't take too long to activate it.
I didn't add the debian 7 slave in the count above, please reprovision it with Jessie next week (GA will be April 25)
