gerrit account preferred email address

Hi, I've registered with gerrit.ovirt.org, current user is 'ryanh'; I have an email associated with the openid provider, but I want to change this. I've added a new email via the web interface which sends an email with a link. When I click on it: the web interface says: Application Error: id already in use. Can someone on the backend help me resolve this issue? -- Ryan Harper Software Engineer; Linux Technology Center IBM Corp., Austin, Tx ryanh@us.ibm.com

I can't submit any patches via gerrit until I get this fixes as it rejects my Signed-off-by's since they don't match the gerrit id registered. -- Ryan Harper Software Engineer; Linux Technology Center IBM Corp., Austin, Tx ryanh@us.ibm.com

I think the stall here is that the Gerrit admins are all based in Tel Aviv, and their weekend I believe is Fri and Sat. However, I have root access to the host, but no idea how to make the change you need. If we can figure that out, I'm happy to give it a shot. I'll look around, anyone else let me know what you find. - - Karsten - -- name: Karsten 'quaid' Wade, Sr. Community Architect team: Red Hat Community Architecture & Leadership uri: http://communityleadershipteam.org http://TheOpenSourceWay.org gpg: AD0E0C41 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFPdiUt2ZIOBq0ODEERAhYaAKDHrsm1n7lx7RzjlsLZbvio7tXHhgCbBflb T3o9coq4IQ178wGkAkAdwoA= =VqWh -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Thanks for taking a look Karsten, there's no rush; I just wanted to mention that it was more than superficial desire for an email change since the commit scripts compare username to SoB's. Again, thanks for responding; I'm sure it'll get resolved next week. Ryan

Ryan (feel free to reply off list if you don't want to share these details): did you try to register a new email or link another identity? what is the current email you see and which email is the one you want? (gerrit isn't very nice on errors - mostly need to hack its db to fix them...)
