I have tried everything I have read online, watched ovirt demo videos
by redhat and ovirt instructors, but my instance will not use my second
vlan no matter what I try.
Vlan 1 is 192.168.x.x
Vlan2 is 172,50.x.x
Both reside on the ovirt engine host. When I attach a nic, whether is
from an external provider or not, it gets an ip but it is isolated from
everything. It can’t ping anything past it’s own IP and I cannot ping
it’s ip.
I am very frustrated. I have spent hours trying to figure this out and
I am sure I am missing something simple.
Thank you for your help.

Does this mean that there are still problems to schedule the VM?
If so, please share the relevant lines of engine.log.

I am new to ovirt and never had an issue with kvm hypervisor.
Can you please ensure that the checkbox Passthrough of the vNIC profile
is not actived?

I have a network in place with several subnets, one for iscsi and one
for virtual pbx and VoIP phones. I use the iscsi in Ovirt, but I cannot
get Ovirt to recognize and use the physical vlan 3 network for phones.
If I add it and the subnet, Ovirt will make give it an IP, but it's an
isolated network with no connectivity to the other vm's or the
Internet.
You will need to attach a vm to a network in order the vm to have
access to the specific network. This should be straightforward from web
gui.
I have read several topics on this but I can't get it to work properly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi Erik,
When you run tcpdump on the Hypervisor (the host), do you see the icmp requests coming on
the second (problematic) vlan ?
If yes, check with tcpdump on the VM.
