Hmmm, So, for example, the VM is listed in one cluster. How do I start it in the another
cluster. There is no option to start it anywhere in particular only 'Run' it.
After starting, it can then be migrated to another cluster subject to some warnings.
How do I run it on a host in another cluster except by migrating it while running. You
cannot 'migrate' a stopped VM.
When editing a VM there appears to be an option to choose another cluster but as I
mentioned there is only one choice, the cluster it is currently in??

Hi,
I hope I understand your question correctly.
A VM run on a host and host exist in a cluster which means that if you want to make sure
your VM is "running" in a specific cluster you need to run it on a host that
exist in that cluster.
Is that answering your question?

I have 2 clusters in one Data Centre , 1xNehalem and 1xSandyBridge I can live migrate from

I cannot change a cluster location for a stopped VM or choose which cluster to Run in.
The Cluster pulldown menu for the VM implies that it should be possible but there is only
one choice, the cluster the VM last ran in.
I can find nothing in the documentation etc.
Thanks in advance.
