What about converting something like a .ova file into ovirt? From what i r=
ead in the man pages, it only converts live running Vms, not files? Is tha=
t the correct assessment?

It can convert RHEL and windows guests running on Xen or ESX to KVM-based g=
uests that can be imported into oVirt.
