Hi,
What is the current status of installing oVirt-Node to an internal USB
Stick or SD Card ?
Is it customized to run in memory after boot and only write config
changes to the storage or are there any concerns or caveats necessary
when using it that way ?

The next gen node should work similarly to CentOS or Fedora in this aspect.
I would check if this is possible via the platform and it should work the
same for the virt use case.

This is something pretty relevant when designing a platform. Shaving
costs from disks can something significant, plus eventually the cost of
a unnecessary RAID controller.
I personally prefer to run diskless Hypervisor nodes.
