based on the old SDK (Version 3) which is deprecated and will be removed
(correct me if im wrong) on the 4.2 version.
Take this into account if you plan on updating.

We are using
https://github.com/wefixit-AT/oVirtBackup for backups.
This works ok for us for nightly scheduled online backups of our vms
managed by an oVirt 4.0.2.7 engine.
Is this the script you have been using?
