I am still using https://github.com/wefixit-AT/oVirtBackup but since support for the v3 API will be removed with oVirt 4.4 it will stop working with this release. For this reason I can no longer recommend it but it served me well the past few years. There is also https://github.com/jb-alvarado/ovirt-vm-backup which has similar functionality but I have yet no first-hand experience with this. Hope this helps.
