Hi,
I've run in problems, when I import a KVM instance.
On a CentOS6.4 KVM 'server' I do a virt-v2v -i libvirtxml -o rhev -osd ovirt:/var/lib/exports/VMs --network ovirtmgmt vm1.xml
Extract from vm1.xml ... <os> <type arch='x86_64' machine='rhel5.5.0'>hvm</type> <boot dev='hd'/> </os> ...
After importing this VM to oVirt, I can't start it on an CentOS 6.4 node libvirt.log tells me
error : virNetClientProgramDispatchError:174 : internal error process exited while connecting to monitor: Supported machines are: pc RHEL 6.4.0 PC (alias of rhel6.4.0) rhel6.4.0 RHEL 6.4.0 PC (default) rhel6.3.0 RHEL 6.3.0 PC rhel6.2.0 RHEL 6.2.0 PC rhel6.1.0 RHEL 6.1.0 PC rhel6.0.0 RHEL 6.0.0 PC rhel5.5.0 RHEL 5.5.0 PC rhel5.4.4 RHEL 5.4.4 PC rhel5.4.0 RHEL 5.4.0 PC
Any hints ???

your host is EL, and engine sends non-EL values for 'emulatedMachine' are you using engine from latest master? if so, you need to select for the cluster the correct emulated machine (rhel 6.4) if not, change with ovirt-config the "EmulatedMachine" value to rhel6.4.0 for the right cluster compatibility version (i assume 3.3 or 3.2) ------=_Part_12507286_178015861.1372857462049 Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<div style=3D"font-family: times new roman, new york, times, se= rif; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000">

<hr id= =3D"zwchr"><blockquote style=3D"border-left:2px solid #1010FF;margin-left:5= px;padding-left:5px;color:#000;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;text-de= coration:none;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:12pt;">Fr= om: rni@chef.net
To: users@ovirt.org
Sent: Wednesda= y, July 3, 2013 4:12:29 PM
Subject: [Users] oVIRT 3.3 beta: Can't= start imported VM

<span style=3D"font-family:Verdana"><s= pan style=3D"font-size:12px">Hi,

I've run in problems, wh= en I import a KVM instance.

On a CentOS6.4 KVM 'server' I= do a
<span id=3D"editor_signature">virt-v2v -i libvirtxml -o rhev -osd = ovirt:/var/lib/exports/VMs --network ovirtmgmt vm1.xml

<= /div>Extract from vm1.xml
...
<os>
= <type arch=3D'x86_64' machine=3D'rhel5.5.0'>hvm</type>
&nbs= p; <boot dev=3D'hd'/>
</os>
...<= br>

After importing this VM to oVirt, I can't start it on an = CentOS 6.4 node
libvirt.log tells me

error : vir= NetClientProgramDispatchError:174 : internal error process exited while con= necting to monitor: Supported machines are:
pc &n= bsp; RHEL 6.4.0 PC (alias of rhel6.4.0)
rhel6.4.0 = ; RHEL 6.4.0 PC (default)
rhel6.3.0 RHEL 6.3.0 PC
rhel6.2.0&nbs= p; RHEL 6.2.0 PC
rhel6.1.0 RHEL 6.1.0 PC
rhel6.0.0 RHEL 6= .0.0 PC
rhel5.5.0 RHEL 5.5.0 PC
rhel5.4.4 RHEL 5.4.4 PC<b= r>rhel5.4.0 RHEL 5.4.0 PC

Any hints ???

<br=
