Hi all,
What is the behaviour of a host with running vms when a reboot is initiated, for instance by a powerchute shutdown event or an init event? In such a case, will vms will properly shutdown?
no, VDSM does not catch any such events to clean the VMs up. You should not interact with the hosts directly this way. If you need to, than you should first put the host to maintenance mode. Moving to maintenance mode will than migrate the VMs out of the running host and prepare everything in a way that the host is again yours.
Thank you for your help.
